Howdy folks.
I somehow managed to roll out of bed following my 5 hours sleep and make my way to Magic Kingdom.
I had training first today for the 4 Keys Basics. Going over Safety, Courtesy, Show, and Efficiency for 3 hours. When I arrived I was worried I wouldn't last the class so I headed to the Mouse and got myself a cup of coffee! I then ventured through the tunnels to Tomorrowland where I found the classroom which was part of the building where Carousel of Progress is.
I found out some trivia during this class- but right now I cannot think what any of it was!
After class I headed to Mermaid for my shift. It was SO sunny outside and I had left my sunglasses inside. So I tried to hide under the canopy which hangs over the shipwreck at our entrance.
I had a mother and daughter come through tonight who were both wearing matching tutus. They were beautiful dresses, and they also had matching gold ballet flats on. Kind of like the ones in this next photo, but the guests ones were nicer!

I also had a guest come up to me tonight and ask where I was from. I said NZ. She then went on to say "Did you know there is something you can do that no American can?", "Really?" I said. "Yes, you can fire someone with a smile on your face and they wouldn't mind". I had no idea what she was going on about. I must have looked so confused. One of the other CMs who heard this conversation thinks that was her way of saying she liked my accent.
When I was working on the spot where you make sure everyones lap bars are down and lock I had another guest say "You have such a sweet voice". Who would have thought just talking would get me complements!
I got to watch Wishes again tonight. Three nights in a row now!
I had about an hour left of my 12 hour day, and I was asked if I would like to go home early. YES PLEASE! I told the manager that he was making it seem like it was Christmas. He thought I was a nutter peanut butter for this.
So homeward bound was I at 12.30pm. I stopped in next door as Stacey had text me to let me know she was there. They were all watching a movie so I hung out there for a while. I also discovered that Tim, who is one of the boys down there, has a sister I went to intermediate and high school with- Teresa! She used to sing the Polly Pocket song to me whenever I saw her. It's a small world after all.
I will get a longer sleep tonight. Woohoo. Then only two more days until my weekend.
I am half way between leaving home and Kate and Mum arriving here. HURRY UP YOU BEAUTIES!
