My mission today before work was to go out and find an Orlando snow globe for my collection. This was somewhat successful, but also not. I have been keeping an eye out while here, but never found the type I wanted. I had one other shop within walking distance which I could try. So I set off to look.
They had snow globes, but they weren't quite what I wanted I knew I just had to get one though. So instead of one with blue sky like my others and the city's name, I had to settle for a pink snow globe with a castle inside and Florida written on the side. It is just a mini one too so it won't take up much space in my bag.

On my way to work I also needed to pick up something from one of the other NZ girls at work. She is a character attendant and lives at Chatham. I got an early bus over to get it, and then headed to work from there. I can't go into more detail in order to keep it a surprise for the recipient, but I am so so grateful for Kelsey helping me out with this. (On a side note, Kate- it isn't for you so don't start trying to guess, I'll tell you about it once I am home).
I also observed on my way to work that so many people here in Orlando use sun shades for their cars when honey are parked in the Disney lots. Is this still a thing back in NZ? I remember it in the nineties, maybe I have just become oblivious to it?

Work was 17.00-00.15. Only three shifts to go now.
A funny incident at work tonight was when there was a language barrier between one of the other Cast Members and a guest. Good old Rick, a really lovely guy, was working on gate assist. In the most peculiar of exchanges, a lady ended up getting off the ride crying and saying Rick had called her fat. He wouldn't never do this, so we all knew it was a misunderstanding. But she was adamant it had happened and was extremely nasty about it. The co-ordinator got involved and everything. It was so odd. The guest had just completely misheard him and taken what is normally a spiel about how many people fit in a clam shell, and please throw out food and drink, and turned it into a personal attack on her size.

We had a stunning thunder and lightning storm. We were all sent inside to get our rain gear in preparation for the rain coming- but the rain never came. The clouds were a gorgeous shade though as the thunder and lightning dance about. At one point a group of clouds was spinning so fast I couldn't take my eyes off it. I've never seen anything quite like it.
And as my shifts get closer to their final one, the goodbyes all start too. Tonight I said Goodbye to the girl who trained me at he very beginning, Ashley, and also to Lizzie my British buddy. Lizzie is going away on holiday so I won't see her again until we meet up in the future. She has been a wonderful friend and amazingly supportive so it was very sad to bid her adieu.
