The earplugs worked a treat. I think they are going to become a nightly requirement. I slept like a gem. I was in bed early and didn't wakeuntil around 10.30.
I got up and had some breakfast. Missy (NZ Melissa), Melissa, and Stacey were all about to head off to the Outlet stores. I wasn't quite ready so thought I would meet up with them later. However, in a spectacular turn of events I was ready in time and joined them on their venture.
The outlet stores are insane. I cannot believe how many of them there were, and how cheap they are.

Our bus didn't go straight to the Outlets so we had to get a work bus to one of the other complexes and then walk through a car park. A very clever journey for us when we are needing to shop.
I kept seeing things I wanted, especially shoes. So well priced and so many to choose from. Stacey and Melissa also found an amazing shop filled with the most amazingly decorated bags, wallets, notebooks etc. I can't stop thinking about them.
The following pictures are a variety of things I saw today.
I was amused at the way they fold the hoodies here too:
We walked across to another building of shops on the other side of the car park. On the way we passed this amusingly named restaurant which appeared to be having a KKK initiation meeting inside. All the guests seemed to have tall pointy white hats on.
There was a plethora of dinosaur themed merchandise in the next shop. We were tempted to get matching jumpers.
I agree with the message of the next jumper, but I was surprised to see that it existed.
We needed to get some groceries so we headed a few blocks away to Publix. Publix is a normal supermarket a bit like New World. I picked up some new milk as I had run out this morning, some chips, hummus, some diet Mountain Dew (!), and some bananas.
We waited for the bus outside and then headed back to VW on a bus with the nicest bus driver we have had so far. From the bus we could see the hot air balloon flying over DD. It was cool to be able to work out approximately how far away we were from DD. After lunch Stacey and Melissa headed off to Walmart to get work shoes. I put my first load of washing on. I am looking forward to an abundance of clean clothes to choose from tomorrow morning.
Missy wanted to have a look at the gym so we headed over to have a squizz. On the way we bumped in to a dead squirrel on the road. I have taken a picture. If you would like to see an image of it with slightly popped out eyes let me know. Alternatively here is a photo of the spot were it had been lying- but had magically been cleaned up about 10-15 minutes later.
It was sweltering this afternoon so we turned up the air con and opened some of the windows.
The tree outside my room back in Auckland was chopped down today. Mum sent me a series of photos showing the process of it being demolished. How exciting that there is going to be so much more light going into that room. And I was pleased to be part of the process!

When Anne got home everyone else was back (apart from Emily who is away with her Mum and Dad), so we asked her all about her days training. She had on her uniform so we all got to see it.
After dinner we went for a wander next door to see everyone else's uniforms too, but only one guy J.D had his on. His is a plain red shirt with white trousers. That is the most normal looking costume we have seen yet!
Tomorrow will hopefully be my last day of waiting. If all goes to plan the phone will ring sometime tomorrow morning to let me know that I can go to Traditions on Tuesday. There are about 1000 American CPs who are due to arrive tomorrow. We have a good view of the Welcome Pavilion so I will be able to watch them all arrive. Everyone else in our apartment is scheduled to work tomorrow.
I am the last one up tonight, so will head off to bed once this is posted. Hope all you readers are well and those in NZ are enjoying the summer, or if you are in Orlando- enjoying the departure of those cold few days last week.

Dreams: Dave I hope you are still reading these dreams- always remember that I put them here for you.
My dreams were somewhat disjointed last night. There were a variety of inputs from locations such as London, Auckland, and Orlando. However the factors I remember most clearly were that I had extreme toothache in the lower teeth on both side of my mouth. I had extreme swelling on both sides and Sam came around to help me work out this palava. He decided that my back teeth had grown too long and he used a kitchen skewer to chisel off about a mm of tooth off each of my back molars. This situation went on for sometime and I woke up thinking I had a toothache. However I must have rolled over and gone back to sleep as next thing I know I was helping paint the Forrest Hill scout den. Very nice of me if I may say so myself.
