We got ready at about 2 and made our way on one of the work buses to the Polynesian Resort. The monorail stops there so we thought it was a good spot to switch over. We ventured through the magical resort and once arriving at the entrance to the monorail found it was closed for construction or something like that. On our way back out there was a man standing there with a massive tray of cookies. We each got two cookies. One oat cookie and one chocolate chip cookie. I ate them- I was hungry. I shouldn't have, but it was a bit of a day like that. And so far I am feeling fine.
(On a bit of a side note, Johnny Depp was in Magic Kingdom today. He is staying at the Polynesian).
We waited for the bus to the transportation centre. We should have just walked there but we couldn't work out how. Instead we ended up going on a bus ride around the perimeter of Magic Kingdom and back to the centre. We transferred to the monorail and headed to Epcot.
We walked around through Canada. Then the United Kingdom where I got the pin I have had my heart set on for the last year.
We were eager to see Anna and Elsa from Frozen. When we arrived we were told there was a 2 hour wait. We joined the line. After about an hour we made it to the front. WE MET THEM! Oh my goodness it was very exciting. They were so lovely. Definitely worth the wait- and I got their autographs.
Next stop was Mission Space. This ride takes you into space in a shuttle (supposedly). It really did feel like we were zooming up into space. They somehow make it seem like you are experiencing zero gravity.
I was a bit parched after this so we headed to Club Cool to try the free samples of fizzy drinks from around the world. Kate will be shaking her head at this- but even though I tried about 6 different drinks it was only about a cup and a half of fizzy. My favourite was the pineapple Fanta.
We got the monorail and then the bus back to Vista. Came home and had some dinner and have been relaxing ever since and listening to the Edge radio station afternoon/evening show online. Nothing like listening to a familiar radio station!
